The box that the washing machine came in is not a box, it’s a spaceship, or a Spanish galleon. A tricycle can be an airplane, and a kid can create whole cities or farms or towers with a sack of building blocks or even sticks they find in the back yard. In a child’s world horses can fly, a tree can be your friend, and the pet cat can play the piano.

This little book of rhymes attempts to look at and listen to the world through the limitless imagination of a child, where there is joy and bewilderment and song and delight.

About the Author and the Illustrator

These books of children’s poems were written by a remarkable dad (Wyn) who has been making people laugh for decades.
